🦞 How to avoid smurf ban! Account Matching Guide.

On Reddit, thematic forums and just in the comments more and more often began to appear messages about game blocking from the developer. And complain about these blocks are not cheaters, but ordinary workers. Some people mistakenly perceive this ban as VAC blocking, but it has nothing to do with the latter.

In Dota there were several types of blocking:
1. A ban for very low behavior.
2. overwatch verdict ban (Hasn't worked for a few years now, after the arc warden fix).
3. Ban by smurf system (Peaked in popularity with cyber athletes and streamers).
4. Ban for feature detection in a cheat (There were only 2 major waves in the entire existence of dota).

To distinguish these bans is quite easy. If your Steam profile says "1 game lockout", then you have fallen under one of the first three items. If it says "1 VAC lockout", then you have already fallen under the cheater wave. Look for VAC mentions in your Steam profile, not inside Dota.

After analyzing all the accounts provided by players on reddit, as well as some of our users, it is easy to come to the conclusion that Valve has now started to more closely deal with the smurf system. No one has analyzed all of their algorithms with 100% certainty. You can be bounced on a new account because of an old IP address, because of a string of wins, because of aggressive play on difficult heroes or for accidentally mentioning your previously used data (mail, phone number) on a new account, even if you unlinked them a long time ago. You can get bounced at any time for anything. And some players play without spoofers at all, swap accounts and they are not banned for years. Valve's clownish random system is already at work here.

We can confidently state only one thing: certain types of accounts are blocked by the smurf system. On the account at least once was tied, played less than 1000 matches, had several smurfpool matches or registered in 22-24 years. All such accounts are initially unreliable and with a high chance of a quick departure, cheats in this case you can not even use, they have nothing to do.

If you want to play for the long term, there are clear rules for picking. Such accounts have been tested for years and have not received a single smurf lockout, even if you win 50 matches in a row on arc varden. Integrity remains unchanged, no smurf bans. These are just recommendations based on experience and statistics, which you can ignore or do as you feel.

Personal recommendations for picking an account on the market:
1. Played at least 1000+ matches in the main pool.
2. Integrity of at least 9000 points.
3. An account older than 2020.

These recommendations will be enough to keep you from getting smurf bans. The bonus will be that such profiles are abandoned and the rating confidence percentage will be 0, so you can easily raise a 1000 mmr account to titan in a week. However, if you want a brutalized account with a high chance of not being recovered by the original owner, then you need to follow a few more rules on selection. They will cost a bit more, but also the chance to play forever is almost maxed out. I haven't had one of these accounts reinstated in 4 years:

1. Played 0 hours in the last two weeks.
2. Last transaction more than 1-2 years ago.

Bottom line:
- First check the lockout view in your Steam profile and only then raise a panic.
- Follow some rules on picking up a new account and get high in the main pool.

Even though I have used a spoofer and followed all the tips, three accounts have been banned in one month. I am really helpless and I don't know what to do.

Getting game ban comes to very limited conditions - First you shouldn't be toxic ingame or you will be reported more and more
secondly : You should watch the replay of matches and see what is attracting the enemy's or ally's eye to your game play and fix it , nobody better than yourself knows what was happened ingame and where you need to improve your gameplay to not get banned by overwatch.
